Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup yellow moong dal, washed
  • 1/4 cup rice
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 2 cups water
  • Small piece of carrot or peas (optional)

Instructions

    Pressure cook

    Combine moong dal, rice, turmeric, and water in a pressure cooker. Cook for 3-4 whistles until very soft.

    Finish with ghee

    Add ghee and mash gently. Keep the consistency soft and soupy. Add tiny veggies if using.

    Serve warm

    Serve warm. Keep it easy to swallow — extra water can be added to thin it down.
