Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup basmati rice
  • 1/4 cup paneer, cubed small
  • 2 tbsp mixed vegetables (peas, carrot)
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt to taste (minimal)
  • 1 cup water or vegetable stock

Instructions

    Prepare ingredients

    Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes. Cut paneer into small, soft cubes.

    Cook paneer and vegetables

    Heat ghee, lightly sauté paneer and vegetables until tender.

    Add rice and water

    Add drained rice, cumin seeds, bay leaf. Add water and cook until rice is soft.

    Rest and serve

    Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving warm.
